    My favorite costume was the one I made myself–I was a puppy with floppy brown ears (AKA socks on a headband) and a black nose and eye patch.

    When I was about 8 or 9 years old living on Okinawa we had a seamstress that came to our home every now and then. One year she made matching Raggedy Ann outfits. My mother made the red Air with a cap and red yarn. I treasured it for many years. I can picture us side by side either or costumes on an make up. It was the best!
