Review

This was such a sweet romance, with a few bumps, that left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Usually, I read a lot of psychological thrillers, but I enjoy a good romance to mix things up. I had a hard time putting this book down. I loved the interactions between Jamie and Elliott, the witty banter, the instant attraction, and even the down moments. I felt for Elliott and the cancer battle she had as a teen and even now. However, she has a wonderful support system when times get tough. Jamie has some insecurities tied to his dad, and how he went through women like they were candy. Jamie does not want to be like him, but has moments of doubt. Luckily, he has a very supportive sister, Blythe.

Watching Jamie and Elliott navigate the waters when she returned to Omaha was tough, but things were different. Plus, she left, and he didn’t even know how to reach her. I can’t blame her for leaving with no contact after a magical night, but she didn’t know how the cancer treatment would work.

The cherry on top is Hank, the dog. He is such a lovebug, and you can’t help but love this overgrown furball. Hank adds character to the story.

Try this one if you are in the mood for a sweet romance. I hope you love it as much as I did. We give it 5 paws up.
