Synopsis
In a world full of cameras and scripts, the most terrifying moments are happening off-screen.
Nighttime soap actress Carmindy Welch is riding high. With a new TV series ready to launch and a glamorous press tour in New York City, her star has never burned brighter. Life is good. But the spotlight turns sinister when, after being swarmed by fans, a chilling note is found tucked in her pocket—eerily similar to the ones sent by the stalker she helped put behind bars eighteen months ago.
But is it a copycat? Or has he escaped?
Her father hires Navy SEAL Colby Lynch, to protect Carmindy from the very threat she thought was gone for good. As sparks fly between them, a love story begins to bloom amid the danger. But when Colby is called back to active duty, refusing to leave her unguarded, he assembles a trusted team of operatives to keep Carmindy safe. But her stalker is always one step ahead, willing to hurt anyone close to her to fulfill his sick obsession.
Carmindy knows there’s only one way out: face this monster head-on but doing so may mean risking everything… including her life.
A pulse-pounding romantic suspense where love and danger walk hand in hand.

Excerpt
In a world full of cameras and scripts, the most terrifying moments are happening off-screen.
We arrive at the restaurant, and there are paparazzi and fans everywhere. Throngs of people are milling about, waiting to see who will come and go. Camera flashes lit up the whole sidewalk as the others emerged from the vehicle. I know Smith is looking at every face. The first vehicle pulls away from the curb. Now they know who is in our car. The crowd pushes forward against the barricades. Smith takes off his jacket and hands it to me.
“Cover yourself as best you can.”
I take the jacket and ready myself for the onslaught of cameras and fans. Our car pulls up to the curb, and the valet hurries to open the door. The moment it opens, the shouting and flashes begin in earnest. People strain to get closer to us as we walk toward the entrance. Voices unknown yell my name. I keep the jacket around my shoulders tight and try to smile, but it is overwhelming knowing that he might be there watching.
Jacob is signing autographs and taking photos. The next moment, a scream cuts through the noise. I look back and see Jacob sink to his knees and then fall, his head hitting the concrete. Suddenly, security grabs me and pulls me closer to the building. Smith covers me with his body while pushing me inside the restaurant. Someone rushes past. Cameras are still flashing, but people have moved away when they finally realize they might be in danger. Sirens blare from somewhere in the distance.
I push against the door, but Smith holds me in place. I watch as the ambulance pulls up. The paramedics begin frantically working on Jacob. That’s when we see the blood soaking through his shirt as they put him on the gurney and get him loaded. The cops try to talk to people near the area where he fell.
I catch the faintest glimpse of a blonde man, and my blood runs cold. He smiles and blows a kiss before disappearing into the night.
