Synopsis
R U in? Need $ now
Third year law student Lennon Gallagher’s life turns from complicated to overwhelming when she receives a message meant for someone else. The text offers an advance copy of a final exam—a guaranteed “A”—but accepting it will violate the honors code she refuses to break. When Lennon declines, the collaborators behind the cheating scheme demand her silence or they will ensure she takes the fall if necessary.
Fighting for her future while balancing an internship, exams, studying for the bar, a boyfriend who no longer seems to understand her, and a mother who needs help rebuilding her life after prison, Lennon tries to handle everything alone. But when she discovers the lead plaintiff in her firm’s class action lawsuit might be the father she’s never known, it’s the final straw. She needs help.
With the support of her friend and mentor, attorney Miranda Quinn, Lennon must navigate betrayal, legal intrigue, and personal discovery. As one relationship unravels, another blossoms in this gripping story of resilience, secrets, and second chances.
A captivating read full of unexpected twists and emotional depth.

Review
I have come to love the characters in this series and was pleased to see that it is told from Lennon’s perspective rather than Miranda’s. We still get Miranda & Eric in this novel, along with some of their family, but this focuses on Lennon.
Lennon is a struggling law school student in her final year. We are reminded of her past, her mother, and a few of her struggles from previous books. Lennon is a character that you will root for as she traverses finishing law school, dealing with her mother, a threatening classmate, and a boyfriend who is drifting away. All normal circumstances, but small things keep adding up, and will she survive this or break?
I do think that Lennon could be someone we all know, or her situation could be familiar to the reader. She is lucky to have support from Miranda (Randi) and Eric. They are strong role models for her to look up to and reach out to when situations can be sticky.
I devoured this book rather quickly. I kept turning the pages, wondering what might happen next. Some things I suspected early on, but other situations played out as they were intended. I was delighted to see Lennon realize that maybe her relationship with Seth wasn’t what it meant to be. Sometimes people drift apart, and this was the case. But not to worry, a new romance is on the horizon.
If you have read the previous books, you will enjoy this one just as much. Even if you haven’t read the previous books, you can read this one as a standalone since it focuses on Lennon.
We give this book 5 paws up.
