Review – Destiny of Chenille by Sally Dallas

Synopsis
Chenille tries to rebuild a safe life for herself and her son in Australia, while running from the remnants of her cybercrime past. Enter Jack – a hard working family man whom Chenille can’t resist. He can’t possibly be a criminal, can he? Love, grief, and moral compromise collide in this culmination of the trilogy. From finding love, to love lost, she becomes embroiled in an international custody battle and a criminal investigation. Second chances, intertwined with family dynamics, force her to reexamine what she truly values in life. Will she ever find her happily ever after: a man who adores her, a stable life for her son, a successful career, and a house in the suburbs?
With the romance, crime, and international travel that readers loved in books one and two, book three is a must read for fans of romantic suspense.

Review
This has been a fun trilogy to read. I read the first two in the past and enjoyed seeing how the story wraps up. This series takes you across the globe and is fraught with intrigue and some danger.
I will start by stating that Chenille is a trainwreck waiting to happen. How she finds herself in all of these situations is a bit mind-boggling. However, she does have a good heart and wants the best in certain situations, but needs some direction on how to finesse things better. She is like a bull in a china shop at times, but luckily, she has a few people who have been able to keep her steady.
At the end of the second book, she finds herself on her way to Australia under witness protection. However, it doesn’t take long for those she is hiding from to find her. She is blessed that the situation has been resolved and can continue with her life without worry. It is here that she meets Jack, a kind man with a daughter the same age as her son, and their romance is a whirlwind. But that doesn’t mean that all is smooth, and Chenille is good at determining when situations are not what they should be.
There are so many situations and factors that play into the suspense/thriller aspect. I had a hard time putting the book down, because I wondered what could possibly happen next. I also kept shaking my head at the decisions Chenille was making because I knew that they could land her in deeper trouble. She might have thought she was doing the right thing, but her legal training was out the window, and she didn’t think things through logically.
I do love the ending, and am glad that everything worked out how it should. I won’t spoil anything, so go grab the trilogy for yourself.
We give it 4 paws up.
