If you are familiar with Texas at all, you know about some of the ghost towns across the state. Terlinga is a famous one, at least to those of us here in the Lone Star State.

This children’s book centers around Maddie, a ghost in Terlinga. She has fun with all of her ghost friends, and her parents are there too. She is sad that she doesn’t seem to have a ghost power, or does she? There is one thing that makes her very happy: cupcakes. Who can blame her? Cupcakes are delicious. And even better when made with love and shared with friends, family, and neighbors.

This story shares a message: we all have a talent, and you just might have to dig deep to find it. But don’t give up! And family creates special memories to cherish for a lifetime.

The illustrations are beautiful and depict the story and characters. They bring the story to life.
